The AmiCell® SMS Gateway Client connects via the Internet to send and receive SMS Messages via the AmiCell® SMS Access Point. The AmiCell® SMS Gateway Client is a Desktop Application that has the ability to receive SMS requests from external database systems or customized software developed by 3rd Parties, and automatically manages SMS Sending, SMS Replies, Delivery and Error logs. All you require is Internet Access. The AmiCell® SMS Gateway Client manages bi-directional communication to the AmiCell SMS Access Point for you!

Multiple User Account functionality makes it possible to manage more than one account, making billing / SMS information easy to manage. The AmiCell® SMS Gateway Client utilizes the same Integration Technology as the AmiCell® SMS Server via a 3rd Party File Scanner and has Windows Services functionality to ensure robust 24/7 availability.

The AmiCell® SMS Gateway Client incorporates the following functionality and System Modules:

SMS Control Centre
The SMS Control Centre functions similar to the AmiCell® SMS Internet Client and provides the AmiCell SMS Gateway Client with a user friendly interface to perform all the SMS sending and receiving. Create a list of target recipients in a list, enter and taylor / compose an SMS Message to send to the recipients and send the request to the Amicell SMS Access Point for processing. The 3rd Party File Scanner Automation is controlled from this interface for automated SMS delivery and receipt.

A "drag and drop" interface is provided to select an individual Recipient or a Group of recipients to conveniently drop the selection in a Target Recipient List. Recipients in the Target List can be deleted if required. Multiple Recipient Folders enhances the Address Book with logical groupings of data sets. With business system integration, your Recipient Lists or Address Books can be automatically populated.

The AmiCell® SMS Gateway Client stores all Recipient data on your computer. Only SMS data is submitted to the AmiCell SMS Access Point on SMS request which makes the program fast, robust and reliable. In other words, you control your Recipient data on your own computer!

Additional Saved Lists make it possible to refine the Recipients or Adddress Book with even more grouping functionality. A group of Recipients selected in the Target List can be conveniently saved in a Saved List for future use.

The SMS Control Centre simulataneously scans for files in the input buffer. As soon as a file is dropped into the Scan Folder, the SMS message request will be added to the SMS Control Centre's sending queue for processing.

3rd Party File Scanner (Used for Business System Integration)
The 3rd Party File Scanner Plug-in module makes it possible for the AmiCell® SMS Gateway Client to receive requests from external database systems or customized software developed by 3rd Parties. With various interface configuration options, the integration with the AmiCell® SMS Gateway Client is hassle free and quick to incorporate!

Historical Data/Delivery Reports
AmiCell® SMS Gateway Client accesses and downloads the historical or SMS delivery data on the AmiCell® SMS Access Point by, periods (year, month), Cellular Phone Recipients, error logs, etc. All historical data can be exported with selection filters to a Spread Sheet for further analysis.

Recipient Address Book
The Recipient Address Book provides the AmiCell® SMS Gateway Client with an Address Book or List of persons with Cellular Phones (referred to as a Recipient) residing on your own Computer. The aim of the Address Book is to have a pre-loaded and maintainable database to easily send an SMS Message to a Group of people.

To ease the classification of Recipients, Recipients will be categorized by Folders and Groups. Recipients can then be added to logical groups. The same Recipient can belong to many groups and many Folders. To enhance the ability of the Standard Address Book, Saved Lists are also incorported to enable special Recipient Lists. In other words, Recipients stored in specific Groups can be selected and stored in a Saved List for fast selection. This adds another dimension to the already three tier Address Book.

Recipients or Cell Phone Users can send a Reply SMS at any time to the AmiCell® SMS Access Point. In such an event, the AmiCell® SMS Access Point will log the replies for retrieval.

Data Import/Emport
Importing and Exporting from the AmiCell® SMS Gateway Client makes it possible to interface Recipient data to 3rd Party Software databases. If you already have a large recipient list in another program, you can export the data and easily import it to AmiCell®.

Computer Requirements
AmiCell® SMS Gateway Client is designed to function on most industry standard computers. However, certain requirements must be met to ensure full functionality. The minimum computer requirement for AmiCell® SMS Gateway Client is:

At least 256Mb RAM or System Memory.
Hard Disk Drive.
A 14” SVGA Colour Monitor with 800x600 Display Resolution with 24Bit RGB.
Internet Access
CD Rom Drive.
A Mouse and Keyboard.
