The AmiCell® SMS Server requires and includes a dedicated GSM Modem with SIM Card and can be installed on any desktop computer, laptop or dedicated server running Microsoft Windows operating systems. The AmiCell® SMS Client software can be installed on desktop computers connected on the same LAN (Local Area Network) to enable multi-user access to the AmiCell® SMS Server and requires no hardware. All data is stored centrally in the AmiCell® SMS Server database.

A GSM modem connected to the computer sends and receives SMS messages. Thus no Internet connection is required and the SMS messaging is completely wireless! Every AmiCell® SMS Server comes with its own GSM modem and SIM card, with its own, dedicated and unique 10-digit cellular number. You host and manage the system on your own IT infrastructure.

Features


SMS Bulk Sender	A user-friendly drag-and-drop interface to send SMS messages, and if so required, can SMS and email simultaneously. It also includes various message tailoring options, like personalized greetings per recipient either by title, name and/or surname. SMS sending is achieved with the click of a few buttons. SMS Scheduler	An easy to use drag-and-drop interface to schedule SMS messages by date and time to recipients. It also allows you to pre-format the SMS messages with simultaneous email delivery with various delivery options. Scheduled SMS messages can be scheduled for later dates and times with support for recurring schedules including daily, weekly, monthly or yearly occurrences. [Screenshot]
Integration Capabilities	A bullet proof File Scanner module makes it possible for the AmiCell® SMS Server to receive SMS message requests from external database systems, websites or customized software. Developers integrate their systems with ease and simplicity!
Keyword Manager	A special Keyword Manager used for SMS competitions, voting, auto responses, integration, email distribution, content retrieval, remote data access with customizable options enables excellent SMS interaction with no human intervention. The Keyword Manager performs various automated functions related to inbound SMS messages. Upon receipt of an SMS keyword, the Keyword Manager will determine the action (task to perform) in accordance with pre-specified settings, and performs functions automatically. The SMS may contain a keyword as well as any additional text like a name, email address, reference or general text to enable proper data collection from a recipient. Email to SMS	Email to SMS is an easy way to send SMS messages from a remote location from any email program. In other words, you can send an email in a specific format to your AmiCell® SMS Server, and with secure validation via a email or SMS response, the SMS messages will be processed and automatically sent to your recipients by the AmiCell® SMS Server. SMS replies from recipients will be delivered to the AmiCell® SMS Server database or can be diverted to your email address or personal mobile number.
Remote Access	The Remote Macro module provides the system user with the ability to send SMS messages from a cellular phone to an AmiCell® SMS Server in a pre-defined message format. The AmiCell® SMS Server will validate the SMS message and act accordingly depending on the pre-defined settings. By sending a single SMS to your AmiCell® SMS Server you can relay your SMS messages to groups of recipients, or to all recipients you can select and specify in your address book residing on the AmiCell® SMS Server. This functionality further allows for specific system commands and programs to execute if so selected!
Historical Data and Delivery Reports	AmiCell® SMS Server stores detailed historical data of all SMS transactions processed by system user, periods (year, month), recipients, error logs, usage statistics, etc. All historical data can be exported with selection filters to a spreadsheet.
Address Book	The aim of the address book is to have a pre-loaded and maintainable database to easily send an SMS message to a group of people from the SMS sending modules. Each system user using the AmiCell® SMS Server locally or from the AmiCell® SMS Client software will have an address book. To ease the classification of recipients, recipients will be categorized by user and logical groups. Applying your own reference to the recipient allows for searching when composing an SMS message. The address book can be populated by adding one recipient at a time or mass importing contacts from a spreadsheet. Saved Lists are also incorporated to enable special recipient lists. In other words, you can save recipients often in your sending queue to a list for fast selection next time you want to compose an SMS. The AmiCell® SMS Server also caters for unknown recipients. These numbers without names are stored in the Unknown Recipients module and can be edited and allocated to the address book at a later stage when a name or any other details become known. Ban List	A Ban List is used to prevent system users from sending SMS messages to a specific recipient. In the event that a recipient chooses not to receive SMS messages from you, they can either reply to an SMS with an opt out keyword like STOP, or you can manually add the cellular number to the Ban List. The AmiCell® SMS Server will never send another SMS to the number unless removed from the Ban List.
User Billing	Billing schemes can be implemented and assigned to system users to track and monitor SMS message costs. Pre-paid recharge options for user billing is also available and managed by yourself directly on the AmiCell® SMS Server. The AmiCell® SMS Server will account for each SMS at various specified costs according to the systems user's settings. With this functionality, you can sell or recover SMS messages cost from system users if so required.
Data Importing and Exporting	Importing and exporting from the AmiCell® SMS Server makes it possible to interface recipient data to 3rd party software databases. If you already have a large recipient list in another program, you can export the data and easily import it to the address book. History, replies, billing records and error logs can also be exported to spreadsheet or text file format. [Screenshot]
Automatic Software Updates	The AmiCell® SMS Server can be configured to perform vital systems updates online from the AmiCell® support internet servers to ensure that your system is always kept up to date.
General	The AmiCell® SMS Server has various modules to enable full system functionality including backup and diagnostics functions to maintain a trouble free and stable SMS environment.

System Requirements

The AmiCell® SMS Server is designed to function on most industry standard computers. However, certain requirements must be met to ensure full functionality. The minimum computer requirement for AmiCell® SMS Server is:

At least 256Mb RAM or System Memory
Hard Disk Drive
A 14” SVGA Colour Monitor with 800x600 Display Resolution with 24Bit RGB
At least one standard unused RS232 (Serial) Port or USB Port

The AmiCell® SMS Server is developed and tested on the following Operating System Platforms:
Microsoft® Windows® 98, NT, 2000, XP, Vista, 7 (32 bit and 64 bit)
Microsoft® Windows® 2000, 2003, 2008 Server Families

There are two types of Payment Plans available. Pre-Paid payment plans includes fixed bundle SMS messages, a Monthly Subscription and Equipment Rental. Subscription payment plans have a once-off equipment cost and a Monthly Subscription with SMS usage billing in arrears.

Only the SIM Card Provided by MicroTeq will work with your GSM Modem and AmiCell® SMS Server Software. Your Equipment Warranty will be Void if the SIM Card is removed from the GSM Modem. Cellular Network Access will also be disabled. 5. SMS Messages sent to International Mobile Numbers will be additionally charged at R1,59. 6. With the AmiCell 500, 1500, 3000 and 5000 Price Plans, free SMS Messages not used during a specific month will be carried over to the next month. How to Purchase
